In the depths of Manchester live four women: Georgia, Niamh, Katie and Sophie. Carving lives from red brick and late nights; learning to swim in all that rain. They are The Deep Blue, and they are making music. Songs of the indie folk persuasion, rich in three-part vocal harmony over a bed of Fleetwood Mac-esque grooves.
New single Take A Good Long Hard Look At Yourself picked up where their debut EP left off, released just before their headline slot at The Janice Long Stage at Sound City 2022. With a busy summer ahead for the band, including shows in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield and a hometown headline at Manchester’s Deaf Institute, The Deep Blue are a band on the cusp of capturing the imaginations of the UK music scene and beyond. With more new music on the way, including rumours of a second EP towards the end of 2022, there’s a reason why they’re the band on the lips of key tastemakers everywhere.
