MATA is a rapper from Poland. Born in 2000, he is the founder of the popular group Gombao33. In January 2020, MATA made his debut with his first album, “100 dni do matury,” which went on to achieve diamond certification. However, it was in 2021 that MATA truly became a superstar.

In May of that year, he announced the release of his highly anticipated second LP, “Młody Matczak,” which shattered numerous records, including daily streams on Spotify in Poland. Upon its release, “Młody Matczak” quickly gained an incredible 100 million streams, leading to the album’s diamond certification just two months later. It became the most popular album on Spotify in Poland in 2021, and MATA himself became the most popular musician on the platform in his home country.

But MATA’s achievements in 2021 didn’t stop there. He also made history as the first Polish artist to make it onto the Billboard 200 Excluding US chart. To cap off the promotional period for “Młody Matczak,” MATA hosted the biggest solo hip-hop concert in Poland, drawing over 40,000 fans to Bemowo Airport, a venue that has previously hosted legendary stars like Michael Jackson and Madonna.
