Mic Lowry, stylised as MiC LOWRY, is a British vocal harmony boy band from Liverpool singing pop, contemporary R&B and soul music. The five-member band was formed in 2011 and is made up of Delleile Ankrah, Akia Jones, Kaine Ofoeme, Ben Sharples and Michael Welch, who all attended Calderstones School in Liverpool. The collective grew their fan base from the ground up, successfully covering various hit songs on YouTube and racking up millions of views. Following their viral success on YouTube and debut hit ‘Oh Lord’, MiC LOWRY was chosen to open for Bieber’s 2016 Purpose Tour. The group’s ‘Mood’ EP from 2017 contains some of their biggest tracks to date in ‘Don’t Tempt Me’ and ‘Can’t Lie’ and also sees the group experiment with more Hip Hop and funk-inspired sounds; their versatility is unmatched and they are pioneers in the revival of male harmony vocals.
